Familiarize yourself with the Scuba Diving language

Following are just a few of the many words of the language that is used by Scuba Divers worldwide.

BC: Buoyancy Compensator is a jacket-like device which secures the tank to the diver’s back and can be inflated or deflated so that divers can become neutrally buoyant.

REGULATOR: A mouthpiece unit that is attached to the scuba diver’s tank.

And the favorite, Hand Signals: A language that is used universally underwater. Check out the Active Divers Association for more info on Hand Signals/Sign Language. We also found a great article on scuba diving hand signals at About.com, click here to view the article.
