The basics of scuba diving

During the scuba diving certification process, you need to complete a 200-yard non-stop swim and a 10-minute tread/float. It’s important to be comfortable in the water and good shape, too.

There are two basic ways to get yourself underwater with a breathing apparatus. The first one is to take a certification course, which includes classroom, pool, and open-water components in a twenty-hour course. You’ll learn such vital skills and this certification is for life!

The other option is to take a resort course, which permits you to dive with an instructor down to maximum depth of ten meters. We advise you to try the latter on your next topical vacation, so you can see if you like scuba diving, before investing your time and money on training.
